Turn10 will donate to Haiti earthquake victims through DLC sales

March 2, 2010

Following in the path set by their brothers-in-development and in partnership with their publisher Microsoft, Turn10 (the developers of the Forza series) has announced the “widespread availability” of the VIP Membership Car Pack, according to a press release on their website. The content was originally only available to people who purchased the limited edition of Forza 3.

The limited edition collector’s copies of Forza Motorsport 3 include an Xbox Live token that makes VIP membership available for free.

The press release states that for every purchase of the pack during the month of March, Turn 10 will donate $10 to victims of the earthquake in Haiti up to $100,000.

So now you can enjoy more of the Forza Motorsport 3 content you’ve been asking for, while also donating to an important cause,” read the press release.

The VIP Membership Car Pack is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft points and will give “exclusive access and visibility in the ‘Forza Motorsport’ community.” I suppose that means something to Forza players. To further entice you into a purchase the press release says you’ll gain special recognition on scoreboards, in multiplayer lobbies, on ForzaMotorsport.net, in the “Forza Motorsport 3” Storefront, and it places your VIP auctions at the top of the Forza Motorsport 3 Auction House. VIP members will also receive  occasional bonus cars from Turn 10.

These five exclusive cars are also included in the VIP pack: 2008 Aston Martin DBS, 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, 2007 Ferrari F430 Scuderia, 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, and 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997). All cars I have in my personal collection.
