Ubisoft: Splinter Cell: Conviction demo coming

March 12, 2010

In a developer diary video posted by Ubisoft on YouTube today, the creative director behind Splinter Cell: Conviction, Maxime Beland, confirmed a demo for the stealthy sequel will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace — he just won’t tell us when.

“My lips are sealed,” he says.

Also in the video, which is pretty darn difficult to watch, are two other questions which made my narcolepsy kick in. You can listen to those, if you want, or skip to the end of the video to hear the news straight from the source’s mouth. Conviction is supposed to hit retail on April 13, so it’s safe to say we should be seeing the demo in less than a month. The demo is probably imperative to a lot of gamers who are a little doubtful about Sam Fisher’s next adventure, after it’s been delayed, what, about 17 times?

We’ll keep you posted if we hear anything else about the demo.
