Sony mocks Wii, Natal motion controls in new ad

March 21, 2010

It looks like Sony is taking the first swing in the motion control wars by indirectly poking fun of Microsoft’s upcoming motion control project, Natal, and the already-established Wii. Officially unveiled at GDC 2010, the PlayStation Move will attempt to attract the crowd that’s gone the Wii route this generation with its own take on motion control. Instead of being limited to the controller’s waggle, Sony’s new device also detects body movement. The Move’s controller(s) look like the Wii’s, while Microsoft’s Natal is apparently used without a controller. Let’s see how Nintendo and Microsoft respond, if they do respond at all, to this ad by Sony.

Check it out above.
