It’s official: Xbox 360 USB storage coming April 6

March 26, 2010

Major Nelson finally confirmed USB storage would be coming to the Xbox 360. It’ll be coming in the form of an update on April 6. The update will allow you to use up to two USB storage devices of 16 GB each, meaning you could have at most an extra 32 GB of storage, meaning you can essentially have more memory on two tiny devices than the standard hard drive the ol’ 360 Pro bundle came with. The minimum storage size is 1GB, so no pathetic 512 MB jump drives, okay bud’?

If USB thingies aren’t your cup of tea, you can always go for the 250 GB hard drive that was recently announced.

Congratulations, Rock Band and Guitar Hero junkies!

[Thanks for the heads up, Joystiq.]
