Nintendo delays Metroid: Other M, Sin and Punishment 2

April 24, 2010

Looks like Nintendo shuffled their release schedule as Metroid: Other M and Sin and Punishment: Star Successor fall back from their original dates.

Sin and Punishment, previously scheduled for a slightly vague early June 2010 release, has been pushed back to June 27 while Metroid: Other M, the Team Ninja-assisted successor to Super Metroid (storyline wise),  was pushed further back to August 31.

It’s likely Nintendo did this to prevent two major franchise titles being so close to each other in release timing, with Super Mario Galaxy 2 set to release May 23. Either way, this may certainly be a blow to Nintendo fans hoping to shoot up aliens with Samus during the middle of summer.
