Drew Brees graces Madden ’11 cover

April 25, 2010

Who dat?

It’s Drew Brees, actually. EA announced the Saints’ quarterback would be gracing the cover of its legendary football franchise just a few months removed from helping New Orleans bring home a Super Bowl championship. They also revealed the game’s boxart, which sports that new air-brushy look some sports game covers have had of late.

Brees is actually the first player to make it on to the Madden cover by way of fan voting. He took the most fan votes in the Doritos “Change the Game” contest over Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne to earn his spot on the cover.

I’m sure Drew is thrilled, but somebody warn him about that curse thing.
