Rockstar: Free Red Dead Redemption Co-op DLC in June

May 6, 2010

While the game hasn’t even hit shelves yet, Rockstar is trying to woo gamers toward buying a copy of Red Dead Redemption by announcing the western-themed game will receive some free downloadable content this June. It’ll come in the form of a co-op mission pack named Outlaws to the End, so you’ll be able to continue enjoying Redemption by playing Grand Theft Horse with some buddies.

The pack is one of three DLCs currently planned for Rockstar’s latest and will feature six new multiplayer missions you can play with two to four friends. It’ll also add some more achievements and trophies to the game for you achievement and trophy whores.

“Multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption offers players a whole new way to encounter the massive open world we’ve created, but we felt the experience would not be complete without co-op game play,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games in a Rockstar press release. “With these missions, we wanted to create new ways for players to share in the experience of engaging with this amazing landscape.”

Redemption gallops on to store shelves on May 18.
