Guerilla Games’ managing director talks Killzone 3D

June 9, 2010

A lot of the hype surrounding Killzone 3 revolves around how exactly they will implement 3D into Guerilla Games’ next installment of the PS3-exclusive shooter. Hermen Hulst, managing director of Guerilla Games, sat down with Gamesetwatch.com and explained it’s a lot easier than we may think:

I get a lot of questions about that and people presume that we’ve almost had some new galactic TV experience in order to enable that. It’s not all the case, particularly since we’ve done it from the beginning.

We’ve got to be ready to implement it, and it’s been a very smooth process to getting it to where we are today. I think it’s fair to say that we’re also, in many ways, kinda lucky, since it’s easier than making a movie in 3D; the world is already in 3D. InKillzone, the particles are already in 3D.

Killzone 3 is expected to be one of Sony’s big guns at this year’s E3, with promises of an expanded story and better overall gameplay in addition to  the aforementioned stereoscopic 3d visuals.
