Harmonix and MTV Games revealed today the latest features for the next installment of their hit Rock Band series.

Expected to arrive this holiday season, Rock Band 3 will feature several new gameplay modes, new instruments, an 83 song set-list as well as access to the massive Rock Band music library which will be approaching around 2,000 songs by launch.

According to the Harmonix press release, the game will also include support for existing tracks from Rock Band, Rock Band 2, AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack, LEGO Rock Band and Green Day: Rock Band. It’s disappointing to note that they did not mention any track support for The Beatles: Rock Band.
