Nintendo 3DS: In stores by March 2011, says Nintendo

June 22, 2010

Hey! Remember that Nintendo 3DS thing that was kind of a big deal last week? Well, according to Nintendo of America’s President Reggie Fils-Aime, you’ll be able to get your hands on your very own one by March 2011. In an interview with IndustryGamers, the Nintendo-vet said his company hadn’t announced pricing or a release window because they wanted to gauge the reaction they got during E3 first, as well as make “market decisions in terms of what’s happening in Japan, what’s happening in the Americas, what’s happening in Europe.”

Nonetheless, Reggie promised this:

“The one thing, for sure, is that we will launch in all of our major markets by March 31, 2011.”

I just peed myself. And you did too. Yes you did, liar. Don’t worry, I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Kid Icarus and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3DS either. Start saving those pennies, folks, because it appears 3D technology doesn’t come cheap.
